Advanced position sizing and risk management for futures trading
to download releases. Changelogs are publicly viewable.
Three ways to read your size: click the panel’s size readout to switch between contract counts, secured R-multiples, and distances in ATR multiples. Take-profits at the same price merge into one value, and the panel now redraws flicker-free.
Smarter ATR stop switching: the STOPS button offers its ATR setting only when the active risk profile has valid ATR stop multipliers — profiles without them fall back to linked stops automatically and return to ATR when you switch back.
The ATR readout now stays visible on its own panel line during a trade, and a live stop-distance readout shows while you arm a Market+Stop entry. Also fixes ATR-based sizing when the chart symbol and the traded symbol differ.
High-volatility contract cap: optionally cap the position size of percentage-risk profiles whenever market volatility is unusually high (off by default). The ATR reading and volatility regime now show compactly on the sizing line.
ATR-based stop distance: each risk profile can set its stop distance as a multiple of the current ATR instead of a fixed tick count, with a new ATR setting on the STOPS button and automatic stop pinning until the entry fills.
ATR panel display: an optional readout shows the current ATR and a volatility regime badge (LOW / NRM / HI) based on where current volatility ranks over a configurable lookback. Off by default.
The control panel now rescales itself correctly when dragged to a monitor with a different Windows display scaling.
Safety and robustness release: a per-chart order audit log, a freeze of all order actions if the connection drops on a live account, protective orders placed before the entry, isolation between charts and accounts, and a noticeably smoother panel.
Snappier entry take-over: adopting, market, and breakout entries now build the bracket the instant your order is confirmed, instead of after a short fixed delay — and no longer arm while you are still dragging your order into place.
Haptic feedback for the Logitech MX Master 4: feel your entry fills, take-profits, wins, and stop-outs without watching the panel (off by default; Windows only). Plus faster live entry confirmation and a fix so take-profits and stops are no longer cancelled by mistake after a partial fill.
Fixed-contract sizing: any risk profile can size a fixed number of contracts instead of a risk percentage — just enter a plain number (e.g. 5) in its Risk field. Counts above your contract limit are capped automatically.
New Market+Stop entry: hold a key and click to set your protective stop while entering at market in one move, with the side taken automatically from where you click. CANCEL ALL now keeps your position open and asks for a "CONFIRM?" second click before removing the stop and targets, so it can no longer be confused with FLATTEN. Also: a configurable chart-click preview length, a clearer cursor marker, and a fix that keeps protective orders from expiring when a position is held across the session close.
Bug fix: the "market on wrong stop side" warning no longer stays on screen after you cancel the protective stop in market and managed entry modes — Margin-9 now resets immediately instead of waiting for the market to move back.
The biggest Margin-9 update yet — a fully self-managed order engine with four entry modes (chart-click, pair adoption, market, and breakout), draggable pre-fill targets, market-entry safety guards, an optional account/margin info line, and a cleanly grouped settings dialog. Requires Sierra Chart’s "Use Attached Orders" to be turned off.
One protective stop per take-profit in every entry mode, so Sierra Chart’s STOPS LINKED / FREE controls keep working as expected — plus control-panel display fixes.
Flat-Stop Safety — three selectable modes keep a market-entry stop from firing while you are still flat, with an always-on warning if a position is ever left unprotected.
Pre-fill targets for market entry — your take-profit lines appear as soon as your stop is set, with live risk-to-reward, and the number of targets now follows your live position size.
A cleaner control panel — your entry status now shows on a compact bottom line of the panel, consistent across all entry modes.
Draggable pre-fill take-profit lines — your targets appear before the entry fills and turn into real orders the moment you are filled.
Non-destructive pair adoption — place your own entry and protective stop, and Margin-9 adopts them as-is instead of cancelling and replacing your orders.
Chart-click entry — hold a key and left-click the chart to place your entry exactly where you want it.
A brand-new self-managed order engine — Margin-9 now places and manages your entries, stops, and take-profits itself with atomic OCO brackets, replacing the old Trade Window configuration files. Turn off Sierra Chart’s "Use Attached Orders".
Stops and take-profits now follow your position reliably and OCO-safely, without the brief flicker previously seen on some multi-bracket positions.
Improved license activation reliability — more consistent behavior across all license types and smoother recovery from brief network interruptions
Refreshed, more compact update and activation dialogs that match the rest of the Margin-9 interface, with a minimize button and consistent colors
Lifetime licenses now check for new versions once per day, just like subscription licenses — the in-study "Update available" dialog now appears whenever a newer build is released
Fixed license activation failing with an "unable to write the license file" error on non-standard Sierra Chart installations (a different drive or folder, a portable setup, or multiple instances)
Daily update checks, a redesigned update dialog, and one-click in-study installation of new versions
The "*Trial" badge is now removed instantly when your free trial converts to a paid subscription — no chart reload needed
Free-trial licenses now show a "*Trial" badge in the panel title; quieter Sierra Chart message log (only actionable alerts shown)
In-study update notification dialog; native Windows-on-ARM build; fixed contract-count flip on live bracket entry drag; reliable control-panel restore
Fixed contract count flipping when dragging the entry of a live bracket; control panel now reliably re-appears after removing and re-adding the study

Window layout persistence, percentage-based risk, Max Contract Limits, Sync Stops, CANCEL ALL button, 4K support, borderless UI

Multi-instance / multi-symbol support, button state validation, tick value validation, per-symbol logging
